The Louis Stokes Health Sciences Library supports the objectives of the health sciences colleges by making accessible health sciences information that advances research, scholarship, education, and patient-care and by providing research assistance and training programs that address the needs of students, faculty, staff and the Howard community.
The overall objectives of the Louis Stokes Health Sciences Library’s (LSHSL) Training Program are tointroduce students, faculty, residents, and staff to the library’s resources (print, electronic, and mobile) and services.
We also strive to empower library patrons to use authoritative resources and retrieval strategies when searching for information. The library topics that are offered can be general or tailored to specific departments/specialties. We also offer literature review as requested. Other pertinent information and tutorials are listed on the Library’s Web site and can be accessible anywhere, anytime, and whenever.
